Q: How did the Arizona project first land on your radar?
John (Counter Sales, Kings Park Showroom):
The owner of Arizona Iced Tea actually walked into our Kings Park location one day, looking to source materials for their rooftop project. Once I realized the scale of it, I knew this needed more eyes on it, so I looped in Paul from Sales and Frank Nicolia, our owner.
Q: What happened next?
Paul (Sales):
This wasn’t just a large job, it was a job on a serious time crunch. So we brought samples directly to their site so they could make decisions quickly. It’s important for customers to see options in their actual space, and we wanted to be as hands-on as possible to move things along.
Frank Nicolia (Owner):
From there, we tapped into our vendor network to not only source the exact pavers they needed, but also present multiple options. We ended up working with three different vendors to make sure we could meet both the timeline and the budget.
Q: That sounds like a logistical challenge. How did you pull it off?
Frank:
Honestly, this is what State Material is all about. When you’ve been in the business as long as we have, you know who to call and how to get it done. We were able to coordinate with our partners, get everything shipped from California to New York, and have the materials on-site in under a week.
Q: That’s impressive, under a week and under budget?
Paul:
